Camp NaNoWriMo signup and Rebel-friendly changes

I've been impatiently waiting for the Camp NaNoWriMo website to reset from the April session so that I can input my novel information for July.  (Not that the novel information will change much -- I will still be working on revisions for the same novel, but the goal will change.)  I just checked the website yesterday and saw that we will be able to sign up for July starting on June 3rd -- less than a week away!

I've also been waiting to see if they will have made any more changes this time.  Camp is trying to be more Rebel-friendly this year, supporting those who don't do NaNo the vanilla way (50k on a brand-new project). I suspect, based on one of the questions in the survey after the April session ended, that one of the newest changes will be the ability to set a page count goal instead of just a word count goal.  I am pretty excited about this possibility, especially since I will be still working on revisions to Pandora's Box come July.  I've made good progress the last few days, but not so good that I'll be done with it in the next month!

I wonder if any of these changes are going to carry over into the traditional November session.  I could see a strong argument for keeping that one the same, since it's the original NaNoWriMo, but I also think that a lot of people are doing the "Rebel" thing these days, and breaking the original rules, so it would make sense that NaNo has to change to accommodate them.  It's not a small movement anymore -- a lot of people, even professional writers, do NaNo now.

I don't think it will affect me if they keep the November NaNo the same, as (the way it feels right now) I will be working on revisions from now until Doomsday!  Don't get me wrong, I'm enjoying myself, but I also don't want to jump the gun this time and go off writing another book before I have a chance to really finish this one.  I may not be starting a new project until November anyway, in that case!
